We start 2023 with full force! 7 international awards to Chilean productions started this new year that undoubtedly began in the best way for the national audiovisual.
After having a successful impact on the media and international industry, in addition to waking up great interest in Chile, the study conducted by CinemaChile will continue to contribute and focus on all the major international milestones of 2023.

Chile’s presence at the 2023 Berlinale will not go unnoticed. This year there are three talented Chilean producers who will represent the country in the Berlinale Talents section, a talent development program that has become an important focus in the market. Here’s a brief overview of their careers!
Ana Belén Asfura (Suimanga Films) The producer based in Vancouver, Canada, has worked as a Consultant in Distribution and Marketing for films and institutions in Europe, Africa, South and North America. She is currently an evaluator and committee member of the Film Funds in Chile and Ecuador, and a jury member of the 2022 Uganda Film Festival.
Matías de Bourguignon the producer has been awarded an MBA from Columbia University, and also stands out for his work as co-producer of The cow who sang a song into the future (Sundance, 2022), Divine Love (Sundance, Berlinale, 2019) and the acclaimed short film The Summer of the Electric Lion (Cannes, 2018).
Lucas Engel his career has stood out for the creation of genres and formats, in a multidisciplinary way where The bones stand out (Best Short Film at the Venice Film Festival 2021 by the directors León & Cociña) and My tender matador (nominated for the Queer Lion Award at the 2020 Venice Film Festival), among other works.
