Cinema Chile

To be part of an official delegation abroad, you can receive support and funding from three public institutions:

a. The Council of Arts and Audiovisual Industry (CAIA) – belonging to the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, which is the entity responsible for the SUPPORT PROGRAMME FOR PARTICIPATION IN AUDIOVISUAL MARKETS, created to finance the integral participation of producers from a list of audiovisual markets, which you can check here www.chileaudiovisual.cl

Any producer can apply for this support program. The application form is made on the CAIA website, which is responsible for receiving applications, evaluating and finally selecting. The form must be made following the bases and deadlines that the entity reports.

CinemaChile is not responsible for selecting delegates for missions to markets belonging to this support channel.

b. Corfo has a financement support line for international distribution, in which producers with audiovisual works can apply for a project that considers participation and assistance to audiovisual markets. You can check the bases here at www.corfo.cl/sites/cpp/home

CinemaChile is not the entity responsible for selecting delegates for missions to markets belonging to this support channel.

c. PROCHILE – Creative Industries, has a support line that finances travel tickets for producers who attend key defined markets for sectoral development.
More information can be found at www.prochile.gob.cl

CinemaChile is not responsible for selecting delegates for missions to markets belonging to this support channel.

d. In a PRIVATE manner (self-financing), any producer who decides to attend on their own to one of the markets that CinemaChile attends, can be part of the official delegation and benefit from the promotional initiatives we deploy at each destination. To do this, it is essential to inform the CinemaChile team in time and to contact producción@cinemachile.cl or by responding to the open calls we make for each audiovisual film and/or TV market through our website www.cinemachile.cl and our social media (facebook, instagram and twitter).

Finally, CinemaChile and ProChile jointly organize small participation missions to markets or industry spaces, through an open call and a selection made by an inter institutional committee. Calls will be posted on our website www.cinemachile.cl so we recommend you to check it periodically and be attentive to open calls, which are also posted on our social media.

The Council of the Art and Audiovisual Industry (CAIA) belonging to the Ministry of Cultures, is the entity responsible for the SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR PARTICIPATION IN FESTIVALS -they have an open call Ventanilla Abierta- created to finance the participation of Chilean films in competitive sections of a list of festivals (www.chileaudiovisual.cl)
It is important to review the bases of this contest, where the key is to apply on time. It is recommended to apply simultaneously to both the festival and this support line, to be within the deadline. Otherwise, there is a risk of being left out and not receiving support even when the film is selected in an international competition.

CinemaChile does not have funding for the attendance of directors, talents or producers for competing films.

CinemaChile as a public-private international promotional agency will include the selected film and/or TV series in all promotional actions at the festival and/or market, as appropriate, such as: stand, presskit, newsletter, video interview, press (general management, not individual), editorial pieces and other promotional materials.

The Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage, through its Council of the Art and the Audiovisual Industry CAIA select the producers who make up the official delegations that attend the audiovisual markets included in its Support Program for Market Participation. www.chileaudiovisual.cl

For some destinations, CinemaChile through the sector brand program or the Prochile Creative Industries Competition, launches open calls and selects producers to participate in international events. Follow us on our social media @cinemachile on twitter, facebook and instagram and stay up to date with these and other opportunities.
