We’ve crossed the mountain range! 6 Chilean professionals land in Argentina, to Ventana Sur the neighboring country that every year receives a varied and large national delegation, not only in official sections, but also in the market.
The 6 producers who will participate with the support of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, through their Support Program for Participation in International Markets will be representing their companies and seek to promote on this occasion their new works and also Chilean directors such as: Fernanda Vásquez, Jorge Ovando, Alejandra Jaramillo, Ernesto León, Francisco Greene and Juan Pablo Arias.
Maximiliano Scheleff – Pajareza Films
Chilean director and producer. His experience arose around successful non-fiction series such as Kulmapu and Por la razón o la ciencia, both broadcasted by CNNChile, he also produced Hombre (dir. Juan Pablo Arias Muñoz, 2017), which won the awards for Best Ibero-American Short Film at the 40th Elche International Film Festival and the Prix Courtoujours at the 30th Cinélatino Rencontres de Toulouse. As a director, he led the short film En la playa (SANFIC 2021).
Currently working as an executive producer on Karukinka, a fictional thriller in development that tells about the paranoia and violence that take over a town in Patagonia when a young woman is killed. The project will be looking for co-production.
Francisco Greene – Mesa Redonda Studio
Author, screenwriter and executive producer. He specializes in the creation, development and production of audiovisual content for television and digital platforms. Since 2018 he has been an advisor for ATN – Society of audiovisual directors, writers and playwrights. Some of his writing work include the series Naufragios (2015) and Inmigrantes (2018).
He arrives at Ventana Sur with En Pajarístico. A non-fiction that is in the stage of script writing and explores, through the poetry of Lorenzo Aillapán, the language of birds and his connection with a mythical place: the earthly paradise. He’ll be on the market looking for sales agents.
César Cabezas – Geckoanimacion
With a career of more than 22 years linked to the animation industry in Chile, he has had an outstanding participation in international animation projects, as well as in the production in the stages of intercalation, clean up and color, for national 2D feature film, where highlights Nahuel and the magic book (Disney+). In addition, during this 2022 he stands out with his attendance and participation in MIPCOM/MIPJUNIOR and MIPCancun.
This time he arrives at the Argentine market with Galactic Puppy, an animation adventure, which is in post-production stage and is in search of distributors.
Constanza Miranda – Estudio Morrón
Co-founder of Morrón Estudio, she specialized in the animation studio focused on the creation and realization of original projects, acting in roles of direction, production and also as a professor.
With experience in markets such as MIPCOM and MIPJUNIOR 2022, comes to Ventana Sur with Brad The Bad Guy, an animated comedy directed by Fernanda Vasquéz that is in the development stage and will be in search of potential co-producers.
Diego García – Kiltropo Animation
Fond of graphic design and illustration. This producer has developed a great experience in sales and managing advertising campaigns in marketing agencies, currently serving as Executive Producer of Kiltropo Animation Studios.
This time he arrives at Ventana Sur with Black Sunday: Nexus, a science fiction animation in development stage that tells the mysterious appearance of a planet on earth. The project is seeking funding.
Paulina Sanhueza – Gigante Azul
The animation and documentary producer has worked in shorts and series such as Halahaches (2015), Mi Familia Chilena (2017) and El Universo en Nosotros (2020), among others. In 2020 she premiered her first animated series called El Universo en Nosotros, astronomy series for children.
She arrives at Ventana Sur after her successful participation this 2022 in the Mentorships for Women Creators of Animation. Her participation stands out with the project Hain, an animation thriller in development that will be in search of co-producers in the market.
