QUICK LOOK BIENNALE DI VENEZIA 2022: PRODUCTION COMPANIES AND PROJECTS NOT TO BE MISSED

Four Chilean professionals will participate with the support of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage in La Biennale di Venezia 2022, with the objective of promoting the work of the Chilean audiovisual industry in the market.

These 4 producers will be looking for alliances, new international partners for their production companies, as well as, achieving the development, completion and sales of some of the projects they carry in their portfolio.

 

Maria Jose Diaz – Galgo Storytelling

With research experience for documentaries and TV series, she has recently developed projects on different platforms. She is the producer of the documentary A la Sombra de la Luz and co-producer of the documentary The Vanished, a co-production with Belgium and France

She brings to the market Ancestral Secret VR , directed jointly with Francisca Silva. A virtual reality project that addresses issues such as the situation of indigenous peoples and nature. It is currently in the post-production stage and looking for financing.

 

Rocío Jadue – Fabula

 

Rocío is head of the Latin American film section in Fabula, a producer who won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film in 2018 for A Fantastic Woman by renowned director Sebastián Lelio.

During this new edition, she arrives in the market with the goal of promoting and representing Fabula internationally. The main objective is to strengthen their network with new players in the industry interested in the upcoming film projects that the successful production company has in its portfolio.

 

Isabel Orellana – Araucaria Cine

After winning the Teddy Jury Award in 2016 with her first feature film as a producer, You’ll never be alone, she has had the opportunity to participate in various festivals presenting her films and also in others as a jury member.

A fictional drama directed by Gabe Klinger lands on the market with Okonomiyaki. The project is under development and looking for funding

 

 

Giancarlo Nasi – Quijote Films

This year the attendance of Giancarlo is extremely outstanding having a great presence both in the festival and in the market. His career as a producer has led him to premiere in Cannes, Venice, Berlin and San Sebastián, as well as working with more than 17 countries in more than 23 films for Quijote Films.

To Venice he brings Celestial Twins by Niles Atallah. The film is under development and will be looking for financing, investment and sales agent.
