The 15th edition of Ventana Sur came to an end with an outstanding closing for the Chilean delegation, with the active participation of more than 100 professionals. During the event, important meetings were held that fostered an enriching exchange of ideas and experiences, strengthening ties and collaborations within the industry.
But that’s not all! This year the Chilean presence was not only notorious in terms of participation, but also translated into a concrete success: six awards that reflect the quality and positive impact of national productions.
The end of Ventana Sur not only marks the end of a successful participation, but also leaves a mark with concrete agreements that will contribute to the development and international projection of the Chilean audiovisual industry. As we prepare to finish this 2023, we say goodbye to Ventana Sur and hope that 2024 will welcome us again with great news.
Relive everything that happened during the five-day market here!
The Chilean delegation begins to arrive in Buenos Aires to position itself with its great and promising projects. Relive what day 1 was like at Ventana Sur here and also on our social networks.
Day two started with all the energy. Chilean professionals are already beginning to hold important meetings and gatherings with international industry agents.
During this Tuesday 28th, the Chilean delegation participated in different instances that strengthened the national presence, including the great panel of Showrunners with the participation of Leonora Gonzalez, Pitch sessions and the impressive co-production meeting between Chile, Colombia (Proimágenes Colombia) and Brazil (Cinema do Brasil).
Between pitches and conferences, the Chileans completed the agenda of this Wednesday 29th in the Argentine market, to prepare for next Friday’s awards ceremony.
More than 100 Chileans participated during these four days at Ventana Sur. We are already starting to say goodbye to the market, getting ready for the awarding of projects and also very happy with the great results and conversations that started in Argentina to promote Chilean audiovisuals.
But that was not all! Thursday was full of visits from authorities and also important pitches from La veta del diablo and Lucila (Animation! Pitching Sessions – Feature Films); Piropolis (DocSur Pitching Sessions – Feature Films); Numana (SoloSeriesS: NETFLIX Pitching Sessions) and screenings of La vida soñada (Show Shorts) and Los mil dias de Allende (SoloSeries).
Chile swept Ventana Sur with four animation projects winning six awards.
These awards demonstrated the exceptional quality of the animated content created by the professionals who closed the 15th edition of the market.
This achievement not only evidences the talent and creativity present in the industry, but also consolidates Chile’s position as a significant player in the international animation scene.
